Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Drivers to join our agency team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with the ability to operate various types of vehicles. This role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. We are looking for drivers to complete Hub runs, regular work.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Execute timely deliveries and pickups, ensuring that goods are transported in excellent condition.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to load and unload goods as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold a clean driving record while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify vehicle issues and perform minor repairs if necessary.
- Previous warehouse experience is an advantage, particularly in loading and unloading operations.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and commitment to tasks at hand. If you are passionate about driving and have the necessary skills to excel in this role.
