Equality Focus is looking for friendly, reliable Student Support Assistants to provide one-to-one practical support for disabled students studying in Greenwich and surrounding areas.
Every day is different. You could be taking lecture notes, supporting a student around campus, helping them access university resources or providing practical assistance that enables them to participate fully in university life.

About the Role
Working on a one-to-one basis with students, you may provide support such as:
- Note-taking during lectures and seminars
- Practical support around campus
- Library and study support
- Sighted guiding
- Exam support
- Helping students access university systems and online learning platforms
This is a flexible, term-time role that works well around university studies or other commitments. We are looking for people with availability to work at least 2 – 3 days per week with students.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should normally:
- Have a degree and at least 1 year of studying in a UK university.
- Have a good understanding of how higher education operates, including lectures, seminars, university systems and campus life
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Have fast and accurate typing skills (for note-taking roles)
- Be professional, empathetic and committed to supporting others
Previous experience supporting disabled students is welcomed but is not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided.
