Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Factory Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role involves supporting daily production activities within a busy factory environment, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess practical skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience in warehouse or assembly roles is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools
- Operating machinery and equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Supporting the loading and unloading of goods within the warehouse
- Conducting quality checks on products to ensure standards are met
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Assisting with stock organisation, inventory management, and storage tasks
- Following health and safety guidelines at all times during shift operations
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with hand tools and power tools is desirable
- Previous warehouse or factory experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items when required
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, with a proactive approach towards completing assigned tasks
