We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract, providing key support across credit control, sales ledger activities, and wider finance projects during an exciting period of change and development.

As a Finance Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our finance function, with a particular focus on credit control and debtor management.
Key Responsibilities

Chasing outstanding debtor balances by telephone, email, and letter.

Issuing statements and reminder communications.

Processing and allocating customer payments.

Taking card payments over the telephone.

Sending copy invoices and supporting sales ledger administration.

Maintaining accurate debtor records and account information.

Liaising with colleagues across the business to resolve outstanding debt issues.

Supporting purchase ledger activities as required.

In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to support a range of wider finance initiatives, including:

Assisting with the wind-up of a group company during 2026.

Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

Helping with financial reporting, reconciliations, and journal postings.

Assisting with year-end audit preparation and information requests.

Providing support across the wider finance team during peak periods and holiday cover.
Requirements

Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner.

Good attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to work to deadlines and manage a varied workload.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

A positive and collaborative approach to work.

Previous experience within a finance, accounts, credit control, or administration role.
