Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Staff member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently at the counter.
- Prepare food items in accordance with established recipes and safety standards.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets quality standards.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including sanitising surfaces regularly.
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities.
- Assist in restocking supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the shift.
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene protocols diligently.
- Provide friendly assistance and answer customer queries courteously.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or restaurant service is desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
