Kitchen Porter – KIMCHILI Korean Restaurant
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our growing family at KIMCHILI Korean Restaurant, where we proudly share the authentic taste of Korea with every guest.
Our team is known for its warm hospitality, energetic teamwork, and dedication to quality. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an essential role in keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly while supporting our chefs and the wider restaurant team.
No Korean cooking experience is required, but previous experience working in a busy restaurant or kitchen environment would be an advantage.
What We’re Looking For
- A hardworking and reliable team member with a positive attitude
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a restaurant kitchen is preferred but not essential
- Good understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
- Able to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- A team player with good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Willing to learn and help wherever needed
- Physically able to carry out kitchen porter duties, including standing for extended periods and safely handling kitchen equipment and supplies
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Keep all kitchen, washing-up, storage, and preparation areas clean, tidy, and sanitized
- Follow HACCP, food hygiene, health, and safety procedures
- Dispose of waste correctly and keep waste areas clean and organized
- Help with receiving and storing kitchen deliveries when required
- Support chefs with basic food preparation when needed
- Ensure cleaning products and kitchen supplies are stored and used safely
- Help maintain kitchen equipment and report any faults or damage
- Complete daily and scheduled cleaning tasks to a high standard
- Work closely with the chefs and restaurant team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
