Northern Barbers is looking for an experienced, confident and reliable self-employed barber to join our established shop in Wallasey.
This is an opportunity to work from a busy, well-regarded barbershop with an existing flow of appointments and walk-in customers. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality haircuts, skin fades, beard trims and other barbering services
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Manage your own working hours and appointments
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation
- Clean and disinfect tools between clients
- Supply and maintain your own barbering tools and equipment
- Handle your own self-employed tax, National Insurance and business records
- Maintain suitable public liability insurance
- Support walk-in customers and bookings generated through Northern Barbers
- Follow the shop’s professional standards and contribute to a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere
- Pay the agreed chair rent of £200 per week
- Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Barbering preferred
- Proven barbering experience
- Confident with scissor work, fades, skin fades and beard services
- Portfolio or examples of recent work
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Own professional barbering tools
- Public liability insurance
- Registered, or willing to register, as self-employed with HMRC
Pay: £41,600.00-£57,200.00 per year
