This is an exciting new opportunity working with our experienced team.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible, part time Group Leader Engagement Co-ordinator for 18 hours per week over 3 days.
You will be required to work alongside children, young people and families with a focus on parenting, family life, early learning, to build confidence and breakdown isolation. To promote HSBNIC within the local communities, building networks with local referrers.

Responsibilities
- To oversee and co=ordinate the effective running of Home Start family groups in Erdington & Handsworth, including preparation, set up and close down of the weekly sessions.
- To design, organise and deliver a programme of yearly activities and events that reflect the communities we serve and create stronger citizens for Birmingham.
- Promotion and active outreach for our family group offer, particularly outside term time. This will include creation of advertising materials, attending events and speaking about our services with both local partners and potential families.
- Support the recruitment of volunteers and explore the potential to use volunteers within the family group setting..
- To provide tailored support for families where required , understanding individual needs and undertaking home visits.
- Monitor and measure the success of the family groups with a continuous improvement mindset and high level of aspiration.
- To ensure adequate records are kept.
- To take all reasonable steps to maintain good order and discipline among families and to safeguard their health during sessions.
- To be fully aware of child protection procedures and to report concerns to the senior family and volunteer co-ordinator immediately..
- To always maintain confidentiality within Home Start boundaries.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- A relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in early learning/ development.
- Excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and able to manage your own workload
- An open-minded, non-judgemental approach.
- Have a valid driving licence and use of a car..
Pay: From £15.68 per hour
