We are looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager to take practical ownership of the operational function supporting our growing speech and language therapy services.
This is a hands on role in a service led organisation where systems and information are still developing. You will be expected to investigate how work is operating, obtain the information needed, establish effective controls and follow issues through to resolution without requiring close supervision.
You will line manage the admin team and work closely with clinical leadership to keep school delivery, workforce capacity, financial reporting, office operations and business performance under control.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day admin, office and service-delivery operations.
- Oversee complex school schedules and maintain visibility of purchased days, delivered days, remaining days and days owed.
- Monitor therapist capacity, service demand and delivery risks, implementing recovery actions where required.
- Produce reliable reports on invoices raised, income received, aged debt, expected income and outstanding financial actions.
- Line manage the admin team, oversee KPIs and address underperformance.
- Coordinate staffing and recruitment actions with clinical leadership and recruitment.
- Coordinate complaints, operational enquiries, facilities and compliance requirements.
- Write and implement processes and oversee operational automations.
- Produce concise business-performance reporting and resolve routine operational issues without unnecessary CEO escalation.
About You
- Experience managing operations or service delivery in education, healthcare or another complex service led organisation.
- Experience working with incomplete or underdeveloped processes and establishing operational control.
- Experience managing complex scheduling, workforce capacity or resource allocation.
- Confidence producing and interpreting operational financial reports.
- Experience line managing an admin or support team and holding performance standards.
- Strong judgement, ownership, communication and follow-through.
