We are seeking a Senior Water Engineer to deliver high-quality planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across commercial and domestic water systems.
This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with water regulations, health and safety standards, and client governance requirements.
Job Description
We are looking for a technically strong and safety-focused engineer with proven experience in facilities management environments, capable of carrying out complex water hygiene, plumbing, and closed system works while producing accurate reports and certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on commercial and domestic water systems
- Carry out inspections, repairs, testing, fault-finding, and adjustments in line with plumbing regulations and manufacturer guidance
- Complete reactive and planned disinfection works, including cold water tank/system and mains disinfection
- Perform PPM water hygiene monitoring and inspection tasks using customer CAFM systems
- Survey, quote, and deliver remedial works relating to water hygiene and water treatment
- Undertake pipework modifications, TMV installations, RPZ valve installation and commissioning, CWST bypassing, and unvented hot water conversions
- Carry out closed system works including sampling, dosing, flushing, acid descaling, and inhibitor dosing
- Produce detailed reports and issue certification for all completed works, ensuring full compliance
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Plumbing qualification to NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- Hands-on experience in plumbing or mechanical building services maintenance
- Proven experience delivering reactive and planned preventative maintenance in commercial environments
- Strong working knowledge of water regulations and their practical application
- Experience installing and maintaining unvented hot water systems (calorifiers), including inspection and cleaning
- Experience working within a facilities management environment
- Ability to produce clear technical reports and certification
- Full UK driving licence - mobile role (van and fuel card provided)
