Paragon is recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector for an experienced Solar PV & Renewables Surveyor.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of renewable energy projects, supporting the installation of Solar PV systems and low-carbon heating technologies across domestic properties. You'll be responsible for carrying out detailed site surveys, assessing installation feasibility, and providing the technical information required to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

The Role
As a Solar PV & Renewables Surveyor, you'll conduct comprehensive property surveys to assess the suitability of homes for renewable energy installations. Working closely with installation teams, contractors, and customers, you'll help ensure projects are designed correctly from the outset, reducing installation issues and delivering excellent customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed site surveys for Solar PV and low-carbon heating installations.
- Assess roof structures, orientation, shading, and existing electrical infrastructure.
- Evaluate current heating systems and internal property layouts to determine installation suitability.
- Produce accurate survey reports, technical specifications, and installation documentation.
- Identify potential risks, site constraints, and opportunities before installation begins.
- Liaise with customers, contractors, and project teams throughout the survey process.
- Support compliance with current industry regulations, technical standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement across renewable energy projects.
- Promote exceptional customer service while supporting the delivery of sustainable energy solutions.
About You
We're looking for a technically competent surveyor with experience in renewable energy or electrical installations who can confidently assess domestic properties and provide practical, compliant solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience within surveying, construction, electrical installations, or the renewable energy sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of Solar PV systems and low-carbon heating technologies.
- Good understanding of current industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to assess property suitability and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Qualifications
Ideally, you'll hold:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- ECS Health & Safety Card.
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or 2394/2395).
Desirable
- Knowledge or experience of Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS).
- Experience surveying domestic Solar PV installations.
- Understanding of battery storage systems, renewable technologies, and energy-efficient heating solutions.
