Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Multi Drop Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities
- Conduct multi-drop deliveries using a flatbed lorry, adhering to scheduled routes and delivery times
- Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securement of items during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of each drop
- Follow all relevant road safety laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any faults or issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery progress or any unforeseen delays
- Assist with the organisation of deliveries to optimise route efficiency and minimise downtime
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with multi-drop routes
- Familiarity with flatbed vehicles and securement techniques for various types of cargo
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence, ideally holding a valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Previous experience in delivery driver roles involving commercial driving and route management
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and cargo handling
