About the Role
North West Commercial Cleans Ltd. is looking for reliable and hardworking Casual/Cover Cleaners to join our team, providing cleaning cover across commercial and new-build construction sites in the Preston area.
This role would suit someone looking for flexible work, as shifts will be offered to cover annual leave, sickness, staff absence and additional cleaning requirements. There may also be opportunities for regular work depending on business requirements.
You will be working on active construction sites, so a good understanding of health and safety, working professionally and following site procedures is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out commercial and construction cleaning to a high standard.
- Clean new-build properties, welfare facilities, offices, communal areas and other designated areas.
- Complete builders/build cleans, sparkle cleans, re-cleans and general site cleaning as required.
- Follow cleaning schedules and site-specific checklists.
- Ensure all areas are left clean, tidy and ready for the next stage of the project.
- Report any defects, damage, snags or issues identified during cleaning to the supervisor/management team.
- Safely use cleaning products, chemicals and equipment in accordance with instructions.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices.
- Follow all site Health & Safety requirements and procedures.
- Communicate professionally with site management and our management team.
- Complete cleaning checklists and provide notes/photos where required.
- Dispose of cleaning waste appropriately and in accordance with site requirements.
What We Are Looking For

- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Flexible and available to provide short-notice cover where possible.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working on construction/building sites.
- Physically able to carry out cleaning duties.
- Attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
- Professional and polite when dealing with clients and site teams.
- Able to follow instructions, cleaning specifications and checklists.
- Willing to travel to different sites within the Preston area.
Previous Experience
Previous experience in commercial cleaning, construction cleaning, builders cleans or new-build cleaning is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right person.
CSCS card would be advantageous, although we would be happy to discuss requirements with suitable applicants.

Hours
This is a casual/cover position, so hours will vary depending on business requirements. Cover may be required for:
- Staff holidays
- Sickness/absence
- Additional workload
- New sites
- One-off cleaning requirements
Pay: £12.71-£13.30 per hour
