Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Painter and decorator to join our team. This role involves applying paint and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure colour matching and finish consistency according to project specifications
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including safely disposing of waste materials
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
- Assist with other construction painting tasks as required, supporting overall project completion
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting or related trades is preferred
- Valid driving licence prefered for transportation between sites and materials delivery
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and high-quality finishes
- Good organisational skills to manage time effectively across multiple projects
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to painting and construction environments
