Class 1 HGV Driver – Flatbed Trailer
Location: Leigh, WN7 3DE
Salary: £16.50 per hour + holiday pay
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 starts
Typical working day: 10–11 hours
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join a well-established company delivering and collecting empty wooden pallets.
This is a local delivery and collection role, with an average of 3–4 drops or collections per day across areas including Derbyshire, Clitheroe, Mold and surrounding areas.
The Role
You will be driving a flatbed trailer transporting empty wooden pallets. The role involves safely securing loads using straps, so you must be comfortable and willing to strap pallets as part of your daily duties.
The Ideal Candidate
- Valid Class 1 (CE) HGV licence
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Flatbed trailer experience is advantageous
- Experience securing loads using straps
- Comfortable handling and securing wooden pallets
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious
- Willing to work 10–11 hour days when required
