Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching. This role involves fostering a positive learning environment, encouraging students to develop their language skills, and promoting a love for literature and writing.
Duties
- Deliver engaging lessons that cater to needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
- Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their work and progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
- Organise extracurricular activities that promote English language skills, such as book clubs or writing workshops.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour.
Experience
- A degree in English, Education, or a related field is essential.
- Previous teaching experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Familiarity with various teaching methodologies and assessment techniques.
- A passion for literature and the ability to inspire students in their learning journey.
- Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes is an advantage.
