Saturday Café Assistant – Children’s Birthday Parties
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our team on Saturdays, maybe some Sundays working alongside our children’s birthday parties.
The ideal candidate will:
*Have previous experience working in a busy café or similar hospitality environment, be barista trained, and hold a current Food Hygiene certificate.
*Have a DBS check and/or previous experience working with children or within a children’s environment.
*Be reliable, punctual and committed.
*Be able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, working quickly and efficiently to ensure the café and surrounding areas remain clean, tidy and safe.
*Have basic IT skills and be confident using, or willing to learn to use, a Zettle till system for taking orders and payments.
*Have excellent customer service and communication skills, with a warm and welcoming manner towards children and adults.
*Be confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment, remaining calm and organised during busy party periods.
*Be able to use initiative and work independently, as well as being a great team player.
*Be happy to assist with the general set-up, turnaround and clear-up of the café around birthday parties.
*Be available to work Saturdays, with some flexibility around party times.
