Location: Ross-on-Wye (On-site)
Salary: £26,500 – £27,500 per annum (DOE)
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end processing for both weekly and monthly payrolls.
You will maintain key system records, handle sensitive employee pay queries, calculate statutory pay, and assist with month-end financial reconciliations. Working closely with both HR and Finance, you will act as a trusted contact for our employees, ensuring absolute confidentiality, precision, and compliance with statutory regulations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Run weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
Maintain payroll databases, statutory records, and employee leave planning systems.
Process back pay, termination pay, overtime, and annual leave accruals/provisions.
Support the Payroll Manager with month-end reconciliations and prepare General Ledger journals.
Generate internal and statutory reports tracking sickness, leave, and overtime.
Serve as the primary point of contact for staff and manager payroll/tax queries.
Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate data flow and resolve queries efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in end-to-end payroll processing is highly advantageous.
Hands-on experience with Sage 50 Payroll and strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, data manipulation, and reporting).
Desirable experience supporting month-end accounting processes and payroll ledger reconciliations.
