Overview
We are seeking several skilled and dedicated MOT Testers and Vehicle technicians to join our teams at Hemel Hempstead and Aylesbury The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of both hand and power tools. This role is essential in ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards, providing peace of mind to our customers. The MOT Tester will work in a fast-paced environment, performing tests and inspections on a variety of vehicles.
Duties
- Conduct thorough MOT tests on vehicles to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for vehicle repairs and adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and identify any mechanical issues.
- Document test results accurately and provide detailed reports on findings.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with heavy lifting as required during the testing process.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive testing or repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the testing process.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid MOT Tester certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all work performed.
