What you’ll be doing:
As Housing Policy Lead, you'll lead the development, review, consultation and implementation of approximately 70 housing policies that underpin our landlord services. You'll ensure policies are legally compliant, evidence based, accessible and aligned with current legislation, statutory guidance and the Regulator of Social Housing Consumer Standards.
Working closely with housing services, legal, governance, communications and senior leaders, you'll provide expert policy advice, undertake legislative research and translate complex requirements into practical, high-quality policies that support safe, effective and resident-focused services.
You'll manage the full policy lifecycle, from research and drafting through consultation, governance approval and implementation. You'll produce policy documents, committee reports, briefings and consultation materials, while maintaining oversight of policy reviews, approvals and action plans.
You'll work with tenants, leaseholders and resident groups to ensure resident voice is at the heart of policy development, promoting transparency, equality, accessibility and continuous improvement. You'll identify opportunities to strengthen governance, improve consistency and support regulatory readiness, helping to ensure our Housing Service delivers high-quality outcomes for residents.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1 April, subject to six months’ service and satisfactory performance, until the maximum spinal column point is reached.
