Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver / Storeman/woman to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing materials, operating forklifts safely, and ensuring efficient stock handling. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment. The position is paid and requires a proactive approach to safety and organisation.
Duties
- Operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory records
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and verification of goods
- Experience with RF scanners or handheld devices.
- Conduct basic equipment repairs or maintenance as needed to ensure operational safety
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper storage and organisation of stock items
- Perform load and unload tasks efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations
- Support with stocktaking activities and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Assist in organising the warehouse layout for optimal workflow and space utilisation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or similar roles
- Valid forklift licence with demonstrated experience operating forklift trucks safely
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management
- Basic maths skills for inventory counting and documentation purposes
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety protocols
- Physical fitness suitable for prolonged periods of heavy lifting and manual tasks
- Additional MHE licences (e.g., Reach Truck, VNA, PPT, LLOP).

Pay: £27,520.00-£30,000.00 per year
