This is an exciting opportunity in Norfolk Residential Children’s Homes providing emergency and time limited, specialist care for young people (male and female) aged between 8 - 17 years, when either family, foster care, mainstream residential or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time.
As a level 2 Residential Children’s Practitioner you will be expected to contribute to an assessment of the child's needs with the objective of either reunification, a move to a family or community-based placement, or a longer term or a more specialised residential home.
As a Level 3 Residential Children’s Practitioner , you will be expected to share specialist knowledge and experience in the induction of casual and new staff members. Provide supervision sessions and mentoring for team members within the home and be a positive role model for less experienced staff and providing feedback to management on opportunities and concerns. You will also be expected to deputise for the management team when working as part of the manager on call rota. The working week will be split between sleep in shifts and office days dependent on the needs of the home.
