Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Accountant to support our practice with core compliance work across accounts, payroll, VAT and self-assessment services. This role requires someone who is confident working independently, has strong attention to detail, and possesses hands-on experience within an accountancy practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Prepare and finalise year-end accounts using TaxCalc
- Manage payroll for multiple clients using MoneySoft Payroll Manager
- Complete and submit VAT returns via VT Software
- Prepare and file self-assessment tax returns
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submissions across all assigned clients
- Communicate with clients in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting and compliance tasks as required
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice
- Proficiency with: TaxCal, VT & MoneySoft Payroll Manager
- Strong understanding of UK accounting, VAT, payroll and tax compliance
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
