The Cotswold Perfumery is looking for a proactive Retail Operations Administrator to become an essential part of our team in Bourton-on-the-Water.
Established in 1966, The Cotswold Perfumery is one of the UK's most respected names in fine fragrance. From our historic flagship store, we serve customers who visit through our retail shop, online store, fragrance courses and contract manufacturing.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll combine retail administration, stock management, customer support, e-commerce administration, shop-floor sales, and Perfume Course administration, helping ensure every part runs smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing stock levels across our retail shop and online store
- Coordinating purchase orders, deliveries and supplier communications
- Supporting our manufacturing team with stock replenishment planning
- Responding to customer enquiries by email, telephone and online
- Processing and monitoring online orders
- Assisting with shipping and courier coordination
- Managing bookings and administration for our renowned perfume creation courses
- Supporting customers in our beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water store on a rota, including some weekends
- Providing the high standard of service our customers expect from a luxury fragrance business
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Exceptionally organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Friendly, professional and comfortable speaking with customers
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
- Happy working as part of a small, supportive team
- Flexible to work a rota that includes some weekends
Essential Experience
- At least two years experience in retail, retail administration, customer service or a similar operational role
- GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to reliably commute to Bourton-on-the-Water
Experience with stock management, e-commerce platforms or booking systems would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
