Overview
We are seeking to employ (from the start of November 2026) an energetic & dynamic Restaurant Manager to replace our Ethan who is excitedly emigrating to NZ after many years of fabulous hospitality for our guests. You will work alongside Vikki & Craig in our vibrant 29 cover dining establishment.
This is a hands-on role, definitely not an office role. You will be front & centre in daily lunch & dinner services, ensure exceptional guest experiences for our many regulars & new guests alike. Your skills & personality will assist us to build on The Wee Restaurant's 20 year success in hospitality. Your attention to detail will match ours, maintaining our high standards. Salary based on a 45hr working week (generally 4.5 days per week, split shifts are required).
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, service delivery, and cleanliness of the restaurant
- Lead by example, train and motivate a small team of staff members.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold rigorous hygiene practices across all areas
- Manage inventory levels for cleaning products & beverage supplies, minimizing waste and controlling costs
- Train staff on service protocols, food handling, safety procedures, and customer engagement techniques
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to enhance overall dining experience
- Foster a welcoming environment that promotes hospitality excellence and guest satisfaction
- Working with us on our drinks list, input into our Wee Cocktail List, communicating with our Wine Merchant regarding our Wine List, ensuring balance of the list & the appropriate price point for our guests.
- Effective communication via email & over the phone with our guests. Aiding in events guests may wish us to host, along with our Wee Occasion events.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting with demonstrated leadership skills
- Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes
- Experience in managing teams within fast-paced environments is highly desirable but if you have a strong history within hospitality & looking for that step up to management pleased also apply if you think you have the skills.
- Strong understanding of hospitality principles including serving etiquette and guest relations
- Prior wine experience with WSET 1, 2 3 is a plus but not required.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
