Kitchen Porter
Swinley Forest Golf Club is one of the country’s premier private members’ golf clubs.
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team on a 20-hour-per-week contract, working five days per week with four-hour shifts.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation and efficiency of our upstairs kitchen, while supporting the carvery chef and front-of-house team to ensure smooth daily operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within the hospitality industry and become part of a professional and friendly team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of hot food on the carvery.
- Wash, clean and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots and pans to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors and equipment throughout the shift.
- Support the organisation of storage areas and ensure correct stock rotation procedures are followed.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Help set up dining areas before service and assist with cleaning and resetting after service.
- Support front-of-house staff during busy periods by ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and service equipment.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.

- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
