We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract in Abingdon.
Working within our orthotics and prosthetics warehouse, you will play a central role in maintaining the accuracy and organisation of our inventory. You will work closely with the procurement team, to ensure the correct items are available at the right time. This is a hands-on and varied role within a small, dedicated warehouse team where your contribution will be visible and valued every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control all aspects of inventory from goods receipt to goods out, obsolete stock, traceability and identification.
- Communicate any shortages of stock ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
- Undertake root cause investigation and identify corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Ensure that inventory is secure, identified and readily accessible to authorised personnel.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile results with inventory records.
- Measure cycle count and inventory accuracy.
- Conduct analysis of inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team.
- Undertake monthly reviews to provide recommendations on ‘slow moving or non-moving’ products and items.
- Ensure optimal utilisation of space for all products and items.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and keep up to date with Company policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
- Knowledge and experience of inventory management.
- Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures.
- Flexible with a positive and pro-active ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Able to build and develop effective relationships with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Precise attention to detail and methodical approach to work.
- Robust judgement and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Attitude of continuous improvement.
- Good analytical skills.
