Childcare Assistant (Term Time Only)

Working Days: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
Hours: 8am - 5pm
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Location: Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Term Time Only (38 weeks)
Little Adventurers Childcare is a home from home setting looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Childcare Assistant. We provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and thrive with an emphasis on exploring and learning outdoors.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's individual development and creating positive experiences for them. This role would suit someone who enjoys being outside and doesn't mind getting muddy/messy!
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality care and supervision for children.
- Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities.
- Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Assisting with daily routines, activities and outdoor play.
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, caring and professional approach.
- Ability to work as part of a small team.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
- Relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3).
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare, nursery, preschool or school setting.
