Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Director, the Group Financial Reporting Accountant supports the preparation of accurate and timely financial information across the Instem Group. The role is responsible for assisting with consolidated reporting, statutory accounts, audit activities, and financial compliance requirements.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to develop their technical accounting knowledge and gain exposure to a global, multi-entity organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the finance team and external advisors to support reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Financial Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of Group consolidated financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and year-end audit deliverables.
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts for Group companies.
- Work with external auditors to provide supporting information during audits.
- Support international reporting and compliance requirements.
- Assist with cash flow reporting, forecasting activities, and covenant reporting as required.
Technical Compliance
- Maintain an understanding of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Support the implementation of accounting policies across the Group.
- Assist in analysing financial information and preparing reports for stakeholders.
- Work with senior finance colleagues to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Projects and Business Support
- Support acquisition accounting and integration activities where required.
- Assist with finance projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the Group's growth objectives through effective financial reporting and analysis.
Process and Controls
- Follow established financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Support improvements to reporting processes and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's Quality Management System and governance requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or nearing qualification.
- Experience in financial reporting, audit, or statutory accounts preparation.
- Understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
- Experience working within a finance function in a multi-entity organisation would be beneficial.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
- Good organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within a SaaS or technology business would be advantageous but not essential.
