7.5-Tonne Driver
Firstcall Transport Ltd | Bolton | Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday (10-hr shifts, varying times) | 1–2 nights out per week
Pay: £13.00/hr (avg. £700/wk) + £25 per Night Out Bonus
Essential Requirements
- Licences: Valid Category C1, Driving Licence, and Driver CPC.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years driving a 7.5T vehicle (or above) is strictly required.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of driver hours and regulations.
The Role
We provide urgent, same-day transport solutions across the UK. Driving our curtain-sided vehicles, you will complete 2–3 nationwide drops per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport, strap, and secure loads prior to departure.
- Perform daily vehicle defect checks and ensure roadworthiness.
- Complete accurate paperwork and communicate professionally with customers and the office.
- Safely handle goods (some manual handling/handballing required, especially furniture).
