Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist / Front of House, to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using the practice management system
- Answer incoming calls promptly and assist with patient enquiries or direct calls to appropriate staff
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Process administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and handling correspondence
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and personal data
- Assist with billing procedures and processing payments as required
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming for visitors
- Support other administrative functions as needed to ensure efficient practice operations
Qualifications
- Previous office or administrative experience is essential, ideally within a healthcare setting
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional manner
- Proficiency in office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience with medical systems is desirable
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, personable, and eager to contribute positively to patient care. Prior experience in an office or administrative role will be highly regarded.
