We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and hard-working individual to join the Cafe Team at Monkey World. This is an exciting opportunity if you are passionate about great customer service and looking for a unique opportunity to make a real difference. You’re not just helping guests have a great day, you’re directly supporting the rescue, care, and welfare of our monkeys and apes. Income from our café helps fund our primate rescue and rehabilitation work.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking orders accurately at the tills (we don’t do full table service)
- Running food to tables
- Helping guests with allergen information
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and food items
- Provide excellent customer service in a busy environment
- Assist with washing and ensure all utensils, and catering equipment are cleaned and sanitised to a high standard
- Monitor front-of-house stock levels and replenish as required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming café environment at all times
- Follow health and safety protocols to promote a safe working environment for both staff and customers
- Report hazards or maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring all areas are clean, secure, and prepared for service
About You
- You’re confident, friendly, and able to stay calm under pressure
- You’re a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A friendly face who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus points if you’ve worked with food before but if not, don’t worry, we’ll train you.
- You’re physically fit, putting away deliveries and getting round our 67-acre park is not a challenge for you

Working Days Available
We have two positions available:
- 1 is working 5 days out of 7 with 1 weekend per month off
- 1 is working every Saturday and Saturday
