Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Shop Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with merchandising, and ensuring the smooth operation of the shop floor. Responsibilities
- Greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their shopping needs
- Providing product information and answering customer queries effectively
- Organising merchandise displays to maximise visual appeal and sales potential
- Upselling products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Managing stock levels, replenishing shelves, and conducting stock checks
- Operating the till, processing transactions accurately, and handling cash or card payments
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and welcoming shop environment
- Using organisational skills to manage daily tasks efficiently
Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Good communication skills and ability to engage with diverse customers
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock management
- Decent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in merchandising or retail is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
