Temporary Works Designer
Infinity Eng Ltd is seeking qualified Temporary Works Designers to support a growing portfolio of projects across the UK.
The successful candidates will be responsible for producing safe, practical and compliant temporary works designs across civil engineering, utilities and construction projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce temporary works designs, calculations and drawings
- Develop practical solutions in line with project requirements
- Review site information, design briefs and relevant documentation
- Liaise with clients, contractors and site teams
- Respond to design queries and support works during construction
- Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, standards and procedures
- Maintain accurate design records and documentation
Requirements:
- Relevant civil or structural engineering qualification
- Experience producing temporary works designs
- Good understanding of BS 5975 and temporary works procedures
- Competent in relevant design and drawing software
- Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and meet project deadlines
- Professional Indemnity Insurance, where applicable
Temporary works experience may include:
- Excavation and trench support
- Formwork and falsework
- Hoardings and site fencing
- Working platforms
- Scaffolding and access systems
- Pipe supports and thrust restraint
- Propping and structural stability
- Lifting and installation arrangements
Newly qualified designers with relevant knowledge and a willingness to develop will also be considered.
