Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pergola Installer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing high-quality pergolas and outdoor structures, ensuring precision and safety throughout the process. Duties
- Measure and mark installation sites accurately according to project specifications
- Assemble pergolas using hand tools and power tools, ensuring structural integrity
- Install supporting frameworks, including posts, beams, and rafters, following schematics and technical drawings
- Secure structures with appropriate fasteners, ensuring safety standards are met
- Apply finishing touches such as sealing or staining as required
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction-related roles, particularly with carpentry, window fitting, or flat pack is preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic schematics reading
- Knowledge of metal frame pergolas advantageous but not essential
- Ability to interpret follow instructions from management and customers
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to handle lifting and working at heights safely
- Valid UK driving licence is essential ideally over 25 for insurance purposes
- Can be night out at times where installations are further away from place of work
