About McGarry Contracts
McGarry Contracts is an established residential building contractor specialising in high-quality renovations, extensions and bespoke new-build homes across London and the South East.
We undertake a limited number of projects at any one time, allowing us to maintain a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail and close working relationships with our clients. The Role
We're looking for an experienced carpenter to join our team on an exciting timber frame residential project in Aylesford, Kent.
The role is varied and will involve a mixture of carpentry duties as the project progresses. While the emphasis is on high-quality finishing work, you'll also be involved in fitting out the timber frame structure and carrying out a range of carpentry tasks as the build develops.
Typical duties will include:
- Internal timber framing and carpentry
- Installing wall linings and plasterboard
- Door linings and internal joinery
- Second fix carpentry
- Hanging doors, skirting and architraves
- General carpentry and assisting with other building tasks where required

We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has solid residential carpentry experience with an excellent standard of workmanship.
- Is confident carrying out a variety of carpentry tasks.
- Takes genuine pride in producing neat, accurate work.
- Is reliable, hardworking and professional.
- Can work confidently from drawings and solve problems on site.
- Has their own tools and transport.
CSCS card preferred but not essential.
