Delivery Analytics Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable External Transport Manager (Road Haulage CPC) to provide professional oversight of our HGV operation.
The role will initially cover 1 HGV and is suitable for an experienced Transport Manager looking to add a small operation to their existing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the nominated Transport Manager and provide continuous and effective management of the operation.
- Ensure full compliance with DVSA, Traffic Commissioner and Operator Licence requirements.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, PMI schedules, MOT and roadworthiness.
- Oversee driver daily checks and defect reporting.
- Monitor drivers' hours, tachograph downloads and infringements.
- Ensure driver licences, Driver CPC and other compliance records remain current.
- Maintain appropriate transport compliance records and audit trails.
- Provide a regular written compliance report to management.
- Identify and immediately escalate any issue that could put the Operator Licence at risk.
- Support the company with DVSA or Traffic Commissioner compliance matters when required.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a valid Transport Manager CPC – Road Haulage.
- Have practical experience managing HGV Operator Licence compliance.
- Have good knowledge of DVSA requirements, vehicle maintenance, drivers' hours and tachographs.
- Be organised, responsive and capable of maintaining strong compliance records.
- Have sufficient professional capacity to take responsibility for an additional 1-vehicle operation.
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in a Transport Manager who is proactive rather than simply providing their name/CPC to the licence. We want someone who will work with us, regularly review compliance, provide management reports and help us maintain a strong Operator Licence compliance record.
Job Type: External / Part-time Transport Manager
Fleet: 1 HGV initially
Remuneration: Negotiable, depending on experience and agreed level of involvement
