Job Summary
We are seeking for 1 full time (30hrs+ approx) and 1 part time (15-20hrs) a dedicated Pizza Chef to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious pizzas, pasta, side orders, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and food service, with a focus on creating exceptional dining experiences for our customers. The successful applicant will work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and sauces according to established recipes and standards
- Cook pizzas to perfection using appropriate methods and equipment
- Ensure all food preparation complies with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace at all times
- Assist with meal preparation during peak hours to ensure timely service
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or issues to management
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to uphold a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering setting is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience in meal preparation, particularly in pizza or similar cuisine, is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- A passion for culinary arts and delivering high-quality food experiences
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required
