About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Security & Livestock Welfare Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis at a livestock site in the LE14 area.
This is a varied role combining security, reception duties and livestock welfare. Full training will be provided, so previous experience working with livestock is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will need to be confident working independently, have a strong sense of responsibility and be comfortable working night shifts and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the security and safety of the site during assigned shifts.
Carry out regular site checks and monitor access to the premises.
Perform reception duties, including welcoming visitors and contractors and managing site access.
Monitor and report any security concerns, incidents or unusual activity.
Assist with livestock welfare checks, ensuring animals are safe and well cared for.
Identify and report any welfare concerns promptly.
Maintain accurate records, logs and handover information.
Follow site procedures, health & safety requirements and welfare protocols.
Liaise professionally with management, staff, visitors and contractors.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and escalate issues when required.
Undertake any other reasonable duties associated with the role.
