Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Basketball Coach to join our dynamic sports programme. In this role, you will facilitate the development of young U16’s & U18’s athletes by operating high level training sessions, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of aspiring basketball players.
Responsibilities
- Technical Mastery Training: Focus heavily on individual offensive and defensive skillsets, mechanics and advanced technical maneuvers.
- Tactical & Mental Instruction: Planning and executing high-intensity training sessions. Build high psychological and tactical resilience to prepare players for external scrutiny and high-pressure tournament situations.
- Player Progression: Group and rotate athletes based on merit. Coordinate strategic play-up opportunities where junior players train or compete in older age brackets to test their physical development.
- Video & Performance Analytics: Work closely with the programmes data analysis techniques to track progress using specialized sports analytics software.
- Values Reinforcement: Instill the foundational values of the programme, including teamwork, maximum athletic sacrifice, autonomy, sportsmanship and an unyielding commitment to winning.
Requirements
- Coaching License: A valid coaching license or international FIBA/US equivalents.
- Proven Experience: Track record of developing youth players at the high school, team academy, or club levels. Background as a high-level competitive basketball player is strongly preferred.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English and strong communication skills
- Flexibility: Able to work flexible hours, including weekend games, evenings, and tournaments.
- Extreme composure: With the ability to handle highly competitive environments and maintain structural discipline.
