Part-time: 3–4 days per week
On-site role across Golf, Events and Reception
Shaw Hill Golf & Spa Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Sales & Events Coordinator to join our expanding team.
This is a varied, customer-focused role in which no two days are the same. Working across our Golf, Events and Reception teams, you will help deliver an excellent experience for members and guests while actively generating sales for the golf club and wider hotel.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable and confident, with excellent attention to detail and strong sales ability. Previous experience in golf coordination, hospitality, events or a similar customer-facing role would be a significant advantage.
Key responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with existing golf members, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued and at home at Shaw Hill.
- Manage enquiries and bookings for golf visitors, societies, corporate groups, stay-and-play packages and golf breaks.
- Act as the main point of contact for golf organisers before and during their visit.
- Generate new membership enquiries, conduct trials and manage the complete sales and onboarding process.
- Work towards agreed membership and golf sales targets.
- Increase membership across all sections, including corporate, ladies’ and junior golf.
- Develop and lead engaging Get Into Golf campaigns for ladies and juniors.
- Promote Shaw Hill as a golf and leisure destination through relevant marketing channels.
- Maintain relationships with previous bookers to encourage repeat visits and increase bookings year on year.
- Prepare clear and accurate function sheets to ensure golf bookings and events run smoothly.
- Monitor and adjust tee-time availability using BRS.
- Ensure golf information, packages, pricing and promotions are accurate across the Shaw Hill website and other marketing channels.
- Promote Shaw Hill Open Days through golfing websites and publications.
- Host Open Days, welcoming and assisting members, visitors and prospective customers.
- Build positive working relationships with golf members, committees, the Club Secretary and Ladies’ Secretary.
- Help manage the golf diary, members’ social events and the effective use of tee times.
- Develop a strong relationship with England Golf and support relevant participation campaigns.
- Assist with hotel, event and general business enquiries when required.
- Support Reception and the wider sales team as part of this varied, hands-on role.
About you
You will be:
- Warm, friendly and confident when dealing with members, guests and prospective customers.
- Sales-focused, proactive and comfortable working towards targets.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
- A strong communicator, both in person and in writing.
- Able to manage several enquiries, bookings and priorities at the same time.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team.
- Passionate about delivering excellent hospitality and customer service.
- Experienced in golf coordination, golf operations, hospitality, events or sales—although relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
