Balfour Beatty is a leading international infrastructure group, and we are proud to be part of the MEH Alliance delivering the Hinkley Point C project—one of the UK’s most significant energy infrastructure programmes.
We are now seeking a Head of Mobilisation to play a critical leadership role in delivering workforce capability at scale across this complex, high-profile project.
As Head of Mobilisation, you will lead the end-to-end mobilisation operation across the MEH Programme, ensuring the right people are available, mobilised, and deployed at the right time to support programme delivery.
This is a programme-critical leadership role, driving operational excellence across mobilisation, supply pipeline management, and workforce deployment, while working closely with strategic resourcing and programme delivery teams.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and develop a scalable mobilisation operating model to support programme growth
- Drive operational discipline, visibility, and accountability across mobilisation activities
- Oversee supply and pipeline management, ensuring efficient progression of resource demand
- Coordinate mobilisation activity across partner organisations and recruitment teams
- Manage deployment planning and workforce coordination to align with project priorities
- Monitor mobilisation performance, identifying risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
- Lead operational governance, reporting, and performance reviews against agreed SLAs
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders across the MEH Alliance to ensure delivery focus
Who we're looking for
We’re looking for a confident and experienced operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in mobilisation, workforce operations, or large-scale programme delivery
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing operational teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills
- A structured, process-driven approach with strong reporting discipline
- Confidence to challenge, escalate, and drive accountability where required
- The ability to operate effectively at pace while maintaining control and clarity
- Able to obtain a security clearance
