We are looking for a cover chef to join our team and support our head chef over the busy August holidays in running this exciting new venture in Criccieth.

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while supervising kitchen staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices within the kitchen.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Creative flair for menu design and an understanding of current culinary trends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
