Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in coordinating daily nursery activities, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to policies.
- Support the planning and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that promote early childhood development.
- Supervise nursery staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a motivated team committed to delivering exceptional childcare.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular risk assessments and maintaining a safe environment for children and staff.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management of nursery staff to uphold high standards of care.
- Contribute to creating an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere that encourages learning, curiosity, and social development among children.
Experience
- Proven management or leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Extensive experience working directly with children in childcare environments.
- Strong knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood development principles, and nursery regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team confidently while maintaining a positive working environment.
- Valid driving license is preferred for transportation duties or off-site activities.
- A relevant childcare qualification or early childhood education certification is highly desirable.
