Working Hours:
06.00 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday (44 hours)
Pay:
£13.50 (Hourly rate will rise after training)
Holidays: 20 days plus Bank Holiday allowance
Overtime: Over 44 hours worked, time and a half
Main Purpose
As a Technical Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of production lines, achieving safety, quality, and performance targets. Working within a multi-skilled and flexible team, you will take ownership of machine operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement to deliver exceptional results.
Role Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment to achieve efficiency and performance targets
- Perform first-line maintenance, preventative checks, and routine diagnostics to maintain plant reliability
- Manage and reconcile material usage, ensuring accurate reporting of waste and consumption
- Conduct quality and safety checks in line with site standards and complete necessary documentation.
- Perform product and equipment changeovers within set timelines to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a high level of hygiene and housekeeping in all operational areas.
- Support and train colleagues to achieve consistent operating standards across workstations
- Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and contribute ideas for enhancing performance.
Experience and Key Attributes
- Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential.
- Food Safety Level 2/HACCP
- Basic education (NVQ Level II or equivalent) or relevant technical qualification preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
- Proven flexibility to work across multiple production areas and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working with numerical data and business systems
- Shows motivation to develop skills, support others, and contribute to team and business success.

Pay: £30,888.00-£32,032.00 per year
