Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our small family feel team at our baby setting. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and eager to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners, contributing to the development and care of children in our nursery setting. Working 40 hours a week across 4 days gives you a great opportunity to balance your home and work life as you build your career!
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Support the daily care routines of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
- Help manage classroom behavior by encouraging positive interactions among children.
- Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, ensuring all resources are safe and accessible.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills in early childhood education.
- Work towards a recognised qualification and build towards this with "off the job" training.
Skills
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is advantageous but not essential, all childcare experiences considered.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children and their families.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
- A genuine interest in early childhood education and child development.
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and respect among peers and children.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication.
