Junior Estimator

We're working with an established engineering company in Stoke-on-Trent to recruit a Junior Estimator. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in estimating, supporting an experienced team in a busy but well-organised environment. You'll be learning on the job, getting involved in real projects, and developing practical skills that will set you up for long-term progression.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the estimating team with preparing cost estimates and quotations
- Reviewing technical drawings and specifications
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing and lead times
- Assisting with material take-offs and basic cost calculations
- Keeping records and updating internal systems accurately
What we're looking for:
- Some experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or construction environment (ideal but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and a methodical way of working
- Comfortable with numbers and basic calculations
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
- IT literate (Excel or similar systems)

This role is easily commutable from Hanley, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Crewe, and Stafford. It would also suit candidates with experience as a trainee estimator, junior project coordinator, or engineering administrator.
