Job Title: Dealer Network Buyer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our reputable car dealership as a Dealer Network Buyer. The successful candidate will be instrumental in acquiring vehicles for our dealer network, utilising their expertise in vehicle purchasing and general motor trade knowledge. This role offers significant earning potential and an opportunity to play a key role in expanding our dealer network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase vehicles from various channels, including auctions, private sellers, and trade-ins.
- Conduct remote online bidding at auctions and assess vehicles for purchase based on market trends, condition, and profit margin potential.
- Appraise vehicles accurately, considering mechanical, bodywork, and market value factors.
- Negotiate purchase prices effectively to ensure optimal profit margins.
- Collaborate with the executive management team to develop strategic purchasing plans and network expansion initiatives.
- Maintain comprehensive records of vehicle purchases, expenses, and market data.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new buying opportunities and market insights.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in vehicle purchasing/buying within the automotive industry is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the motor trade, including market trends, vehicle valuation, and appraisal techniques.
- Proficient in remote online bidding platforms and auction processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favourable purchase prices.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with sellers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Full driving license required.
