Looking for a nursery where you can help shape the future while inspiring young children every day?
At The Nest Nursery, we believe exceptional early years education starts with passionate, dedicated practitioners. We're looking for caring and enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our growing team as we continue to expand our nursery provision.
Situated within Eton End School, our nursery offers a unique environment where children benefit from being part of a welcoming independent school community from the very beginning of their educational journey. Set in a beautiful location on the banks of the River Thames, between Datchet and Eton, our nursery combines a nurturing, family atmosphere with excellent facilities and opportunities for children to become confident, curious and independent learners.
As part of the Inspired Learning Group, you'll enjoy the warmth of a close-knit school community while benefiting from ongoing professional development, excellent support and career progression opportunities across a wider family of independent schools and nurseries.
Whether you're an experienced practitioner or have recently achieved your qualification and are ready to begin your Early Years career, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play an important role in creating an inspiring environment where every child feels safe, valued and excited to learn.
You'll:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support each child's individual interests, abilities and stage of development.
- Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover and build confidence.
- Observe, assess and celebrate children's progress, using the EYFS framework to plan meaningful next steps in learning.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents and carers, working in partnership to support every child's development.
- Support children's emotional wellbeing, communication, independence and social development through warm, responsive interactions.
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and learning records to celebrate children's achievements and inform future planning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care, education and professionalism across the nursery.
- Take advantage of the nursery's close links with the wider school, helping children feel confident as they progress through their early education.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and children's wellbeing remain central to everything you do.
- Contribute ideas and enthusiasm as we continue to grow and develop our expanding nursery.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A DfE-approved Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS, child development and safeguarding.
