We're looking for Family Support Workers to join our Residential Family Assessment Centre, where no two days are the same and safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.We work with families during some of the most important periods of their lives. Our role is to provide a safe, structured environment where parenting capacity can be observed and assessed, while ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of children remains the priority at all times.
This role requires compassion, resilience, professional curiosity, good judgement and the ability to write clear, factual records at 3am when everyone else wishes they were asleep.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
✅ Observing and monitoring family interactions
✅ Supporting parents with day-to-day routines
✅ Safeguarding children and raising concerns appropriately
✅ Recording observations accurately and objectively
✅ Working alongside social workers and other professionals
✅ Maintaining professional boundaries, even when people are having difficult days
✅ Being part of a team that understands when to laugh, when to listen, and when to make another cup of tea
You'll work:
- 12-hour shifts
- Days, nights, weekends and bank holidays
- In situations that can be emotional, challenging and sometimes unpredictable
You'll need to be flexible, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced safeguarding environment.

Qualifications & Experience
Ideally, you'll hold a relevant Health and Social Care qualification recognised by Social Care Wales, such as the Level 2 Health and Social Care Core and Level 3 Health and Social Care Practice qualifications. Residential Family Centre Workers in Wales are required to meet Social Care Wales registration requirements.
